Study aids

Just in case you didn't get them down, here are some study aids that we've found helpful:

Casenotes (the book Shelly had)--Contains little breakdowns of cases.

Examples and Explanations--Contains in depth discussions topic by topic, followed by hypotheticals and explanations. This is the closest thing you will see to exam questions. I especially recommend Civil Procedure by Glannon.

CrunchTime--I think I bought one of these for Civ Pro. It was OK, but not as good as E&E.

CALI--I've posted a link over to the side. You'll need your login and password to used them. Let us know if you don't get this info during orientation (they should give you a CD).

Dedman Lifetime Sports Center

Shelly said that several people asked where the gym is--it's on the exact opposite end of campus, by the football field. Here's a link to a map--basically you just turn off of Mockingbird onto Airline right after the Barnes & Noble bookstore:

You can park in the parking lot across the street by sliding your ID at the gate. If it won't let you in (it malfunctions sometimes), you can try parking on the dirt lot beside the building (you'll see several other cars there). I've had to park in that dirt lot several times over the summer and haven't gotten a ticket yet, but that might change now that the regular semester is here.

Once you're inside, you just slide your ID to get in. Locker rooms are on the bottom floor, and they have tons of stuff: a weight room, lap pool, 30 ft. rock climbing wall, tons of cardio machines, basketball, racquetball, indoor track, pool tables, ping pong, literally almost everything. My feeling is that we're paying for it, so we may as well use it.
